I don't remember if I played this song in either the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast or the Pub Songs Podcast, but I love the way it turned out. I started playing “A Drop of Nelson's Blood” about three years ago. It's big fun song where you can rewrite the lyrics on a whim. I love that flexibility. I parody it regularly.
However, I wanted to share the original version. It's a great old sea shanty inspired by Lord Admiral Nelson who died victoriously in a big sea battle in Trafalgar.
This version has an old-timey feel courtesy of Dogs in Doublets.
Right now, Celtic Music Is Freedom is 11% funded. Thanks to all my early adopters. Please keep telling folks about the album.
I can't wait to hear some of the other tracks that Daniel will record.
