Infuriated: Christianity vs Supreme Court

The Supreme Court completely delegitimized itself last week on their ruling of Roe vs Wade. The three new “justices” were already barely legitimate, having been forced through the system in an unprecedented manner. But they also lied to Congress saying Roe was a settled precedent.

I am infuriated because this is a direct attack on the rights of individuals, of women in our country. I'm infuriated because it's an attack on MY DAUGHTERS' rights! But I'm also infuriated by the evangelicals who took an already non-scientific and non-religious idea and forced it down America's throats under the guise of being Christians.

It infuriates me when people abuse God and Christ in this fashion. This ruling is NOT a religious one. It's a selfish manipulation of women. It's the patriarchy trying to limit the rights of women.

I decided this week to try and understand how radicals are misreading and teaching the Bible to “legitimize” this belief. It all comes down to something about “protecting the innocent.” They try to justify their beliefs by hand-picked quotes about God knowing you in your womb.

Yes monsters are real,
Especially when they feel
That their actions are justified by God.

I totally believe in protecting the innocent. But the simple fact is the unborn are just that, unborn.

I know the Supreme Court justices are happy to ignore precedent. But the Bible actually tells us when Life begins and what is Life. It starts in Chapter 1 of Genesis:

29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

It continues in Chapter 2:

Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth and no plant had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no one to work the ground, but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground. Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Now I'm not so arrogant to think that I know everything about the Bible. However, Christ was Jewish. Guess what the Jews believe? Life begins with your first breath!

In fact, women's lives are more important when it comes to a not-yet-living baby. Abortion is okay if the mother's life is at risk.

I am not pro-abortion. I would LOVE for every baby to be born if a mother wants it.

But THAT is the catch!

From the very beginning God made humans something special. He gave us a Choice. We can be good or evil. But evil is not just killing someone. It's trying to control them and take away their choice.

Even Christ said, “render unto Caesar what is Caesar.”

Basically, it's not our place to get into local politics. That's why our country has the separation of Church and State to begin with. But the Evil justices on the Court refuse to recognize that. They want to blaspheme Christ by saying we are a Christian country. By forcing their beliefs down our throats.

So yes, there is a war on Christianity happening in this country. But it's a civil war. It's between people who actually believe in the message of Jesus versus those who allow themselves to be manipulated by charlatans who pervert the Bible for control of people or their own financial gain.

There is nothing righteous about denying people rights. It is an attack on the innocent, like my daughters who have rights and like the babies that are born with no resources to make the most of their lives.

It is Evil.

If you disagree and believe that abortion is against God's will, I support your right to believe that.

But do not go against God's Will and force your beliefs on my children!
