You found me how...? Poll, New Podcasts, St Patrick's Day |
Fun Celtic Music, the Traditional and the Twisted Marc Gunn is a rhythm and folk musician inspired by Celtic culture, science fiction, fantasy, and cats. He breathes new life into the autoharp, which continues to surprise musical veterans and fans a like for it’s unique sound and spirited energy. It’s Celtic music, the traditional and the twisted. Marc's MusingsGreetings A couple days ago, I made Shepherd's Pie. I got the recipe from a quick internet search. All I can say is WOW... It was terribly boring. I love good Shepherd's Pie, but this... was... not... it! If you have your own recipe, email it to me. I'd like to try making it again before St. Patrick's Day. St. Patrick's Day is less than two weeks away. Once again, the biggest day of the Celtic year snuck up on me. Though I must say I don't feel nearly as flustered as I usually do at this time. And yet, I still have lots to promote including: podcasts, a magazine, lyrics, and of course, lots and LOTS of my music. I have some big plans for St. Patrick's Week, which I will share with you on Sunday. NEW PODCASTIn the meantime, I still have a TON of news and new content to share with you, including a brand new podcast. This still-to-be-named show is a talk-only, short-format, weekly show with Marc Gunn news updates. Or at least that's the hope. I've never had a whole lot of luck with sticking to a regular schedule. I hope to change that with this show. I figure even if it's only three minutes long, you will get good updates for what's going on with me, my music and my podcasts. The plan is to make it a sort of what happened last week, and what's gonna happen this week. And best of all it's something you can listen to while you make a quick drive to the store. I think I can make that work. The Pub Songs Podcast is coming to a dramatic end on St. Patrick's Day. In the meantime, I have a bunch of new shows coming there as well, including the newest which is titled St Patrick’s Day Irish Drinking Songs. GET HOW AMERICA SAVED IRISH MUSIC CD NOW ON CDBABYI made a big OOPs when I released How America Saved Irish Music on February 19th. I meant to have the CD up and ready to sell on CD Baby. I forgot to mail the CDs to them. Again, I repeat, "Oops". That's okay though. You now buy the physical CD on CD Baby. Oh! And check it out on Amazon. It's still getting great reviews and doing fairly well on the charts. Again, I want to thank everyone who made the album a chart-topping smash hit! POLL: HOW DID YOU FIND MY MUSIC?I posted a new poll on my website. I am already a bit surprised with the results. They are not at all what I was expecting. So do me a wee favor, visit the poll and tell me how you found my music. I'm really curious to see if these trends are as I expected or not. So please respond to the poll and let me know. Thank you as always for your awesome support of my music. You are amazing! I just want you to know that. Thank you! :) Slainte! PS. "Rising of the Moon" is still kicking butt in the Celtic Radio Music Awards. It has a little under 50% of the vote for Best Roots Traditional. I still need your help to secure my place in history! Go to the Poll and vote for me. You will need to join the Celtic Radio forums to vote, but it's well-worth it and you'll also be able to help me again in the future on the largest Celtic radio station online. Please VOTE! PPS. I currently have TWO shows scheduled for St. Patrick's Day weekend. On Saturday, I'll be at Five Points in Birmingham, performing at three different venues that afternoon. On Friday night, March 14th, I have my first-ever performance at Beef O'Brady's, and Irish pub and restaurant in Hoover. This could turn into a regular local venue for me. So if you are local and want to see a me perform more often in B'ham, please join me next Friday night.
