I have so many Christmas favorites I love to listen to during the holiday season. I don't just listen to Celtic Christmas music. So years ago, I started a playlist called “Fun Christmas Songs for Kids & Families”.
This is a very organic playlist. I started by loading all my favorite Christmas songs. I listened to other playlists and added some of those favorites. Then I played the list on repeat every Christmas season. It has all my favorites. Then comes the organic part…
If my kids don't like, I remove it from the list!
I must've done something right. The list started exploding last year. I now have over 1600 followers on the list. It gets over 200 listens a day. That's amazing!

New Single!
The newest song to be added to the playlist is “Slainte Mhaith Christmas”.
I wrote “Slainte Mhaith” years ago. I say it's about Celtic Kharma during live shows. That's how the inspiration for the new single struck me.
You see, Inara and I were singing Christmas songs together when she requested I sing “Slainte Mhaith”. I did. Then was struck by how it's a song about goodwill and being generous. A couple minor lyric changes and I had a Christmas song.
So there I was a couple days later recording the song. After the first take, Gwen walked into the room. She had been laughing and had a big smile on her face. “That reminds me of that scene from Love Actually.” I laughed too because it TOTALLY reminds me of the same thing.
In the scene, a musician is singing his hit song with newly added Christmas lyrics hoping to turn an old hit into a new Christmas hit.
