Kain T. Um cuz it rules tha skool.

Kay P. Because it's wonderful! Also, it's whimsical and fun, and often becomes a conversation starter when I'm entertaining.

Skye A. Because your cat songs make me laugh and because you play an Autoharp like my beloved Owen Smith

Cherry R. Because it offers me an escape from my everyday ho hum world.

Erin N. I like the sound of your voice. Your music also mixes all my interests together – Celtic, Geek, Cats. Your songs are also a fun mix of funny, serious, instrumental, etc., so while I have other favorite groups that are humorous and make up new lyrics for songs, I can only listen to them a limited amount of times before I wish I was listening to something different. Whereas your songs I can listen to them while I work and they are enjoyable without getting old.

Emerald G. I am a cat lover with a Celtic family history who enjoys a good drunken bardic tale and Autoharp…listening to your music makes me smile even when I've thought I couldn't.

Kris D. it makes chores I don't enjoy go faster, funny make me laugh, soothing( some), remembering how much fun I had watching you LIVE, plus more things I haven't thought of yet.

Jan C. Makes me happy!

River G. Your music is a wonderful blend of the new and the old. You sing Celtic classics and funny Filk. You also have a true sound. There's no auto-tuning, or other computer work in your voice. If I let somebody hear one of your CDs, it will sound basically the same as you live… AWESOME!

Jari W. Fun lyrics, I can understand the words, bouncy often in good ways, causes thinking, and more!

Amber Aguero I love your voice and think you're extremely talented. Your songs make me happy.

Rachel M. It's entertaining “The bridge” (if I got the title right!) is my favorite, however!

Danny F. Because you keep putting your own music in your podcasts. Plus, you rock the autoharp like no one else.

Paul H. Makes me I'm feel back home!

Bill B. Fun, catchy tunes, you don't rely on being gross or obnoxious like so much of today's music.

Mike B. great music, great songwriting, we kind of like the guy's singimg , looks good in a kilt, have a great week

Anna H. You're fun to sing with!

Bill C. Everything everyone's said so far, plus I hope to approach your skill and talent someday.

Dennis C. The genre is of course wonderful. But your interpretation of it in satire and serious works (ie. Not Everyday is St. Patrick's day) are fun and thought provoking.

Jinny H. your music drawls you into it the sound is just so different I love listening to it. not to mention you got a good voice and you're not bad to look at. I enjoyed working and getting to listen to you and you're entertaining.

  1. Every song of yours that I listen to over and over evokes a memory…and in all the memories I’m with people I love and I’m happy.

  2. Why do I listen to you. Several reasons. You have a great voice. This is pretty much a requisite for me. A voice has to make me pay attention. Yours does. Another reason, you have written some great tunes. Scouring the Shire, Gosling Reborn, Soul of a Harper, to name a few. I like your interpretation of traditional material as well.

  3. I listen to your music because the whimsical and fun tunes make me smile and happy, and the instrumentals are hauntingly beautiful and creative. I admire you as a musician and for your great creativity. I listen to you when I work and write for inspiration, and I almost have become cat-tolerant… almost. Thank you, Marc.

  4. I listen to your music because it makes me feel a broad range of emotion. There is always a song to match my mood. You are a fantastic musician who is both creative and able to connect a broad range of genres together. You are also one of the main reasons I have come to love Celtic music. Thanks for the many years of great music and cheers for many more. Thank you, Marc

  5. I love your music and the great artists you feature on your podcasts. As a cat lover and the proud mistress of a beatiful girl named Hershey. She is a sealpoint siamese and loves to listen to your cat lover cd as well as the drinking songs for cat lovers. Keep the songs coming 🙂

  6. I love the sound of the Autoharp, I play it myself, and I really love the story telling quality to your songs. Whether it’s a new one you wrote or a traditional song, I get caught up in the story and delighted with the music. And I love cats :).

  7. It’s absolutely magical….and it touches on my roots and takes me away to places across the pond where I would rather be than in the States. Also, some if it is just plain damn hilarious and makes me roll on the floor hysterically !! Man, do I ever love you and your music !! The world is a much better place with you in it…. Hugs, gg

  8. Because your songs are always fun and fresh and hearing you brings back lots of good memories from all the times I’ve watched you perform.

  9. Hi Marc,
I enjoy the combination of your voice, the autoharp, and fun, celtic music. But also, as a Wilson, my family is descended from the Gunn clan, so I’ve thought of you as distant (more talented) family. And it doesn’t hurt that my kids love the music, too. The fourteen year-old aspires to be a Hobbit. 😉
