Greetings

You're gonna love my latest announcement... when I finally share it. In the meantime, I'm gearing up for Dragon Con, an internet concert, and a new season of Doctor Who.

But first, I want to thank you. Life as a musician is not easy. It's even more difficult when you have a family to take care of. Your subscription to my mailing list means a lot. It's the absolute best way for me to let you know what's happening in my music and entertainment career. I really appreciate you taking the time to read this newsletter.

GenCon was absolutely amazing. They had record attendance, and for me, the shows were better than ever. I want to thank you if you were able to attend one of my concerts. If you made it, I need some feedback. Please check out this link: http://marcgunn.com/2014/did-you-have-fun-at-gencon-too/

Yes. You do want to own Sci Fi Drinking Songs and other albums by Marc Gunn. http://celticmusic.org

1. Marc Gunn Returns to Concert Window for an Internet Concert

This Sunday, August 24th at 7PM CST, I am performing another internet concert on Concert Windows. The last one went so well that I'd like to turn this into a regular event. I have some big plans for the next couple shows too. This one will include a super special announcement.

The announcement is something I've thought about for a couple of years. Now I'm finally gonna commit to it. If you want to find out what "it" is, then join me on Sunday evening. I'm getting excited about it. And I want you to be a part of the journey.

The concert is pay-what-you-will. So sign up now to be now to be notified about this exciting show at http://marcgunn.com/concertwindow.

Smiles await.

IMPORTANT: The webshow will not be recorded – it's offered in real time. Check out the Facebook event. Then please share it with the world.

2. Doctor Who, aka Doctor of Gallifrey Returns for a New Season

The new season of Doctor Who starts comes out today. Since I never watch TV live, that means little to me, EXCEPT for promoting my music and my new single "Doctor of Gallifrey".

"Doctor of Gallifrey" is now on sale on iTunes. You can help me get special notice for the new album when you buy the single today.

Once you own the single, buy the album. Your purchase will help push both the single and the album up the charts on a day when LOTS of people will be looking for Doctor Who music on iTunes.

Oh! And if you want to help out the song's author, Devo Spice released an album called I Am The Doctor which is an entire album of Doctor Who music. It's bloody brilliant! I highly recommend it. It's not Celtic, but it's got some major geek cred since he wrote one song for each Doctor. If you want to learn more about Doctor Who, his album will educate you.

Sci Fi Drinking Songs is now available for pre-order on iTunes and Amazon. It will be officially released on on September 8, 2014. Order your copy at http://celticmusic.org/SciFiDrinkingSongs

3. Brobdingnagian Bards Reunion at Dragon Con

I'm heading back to Atlanta next week for Dragon Con. It's another Brobdingnagian Bards weekend for what may be our one regular gig of the year.

We have a full schedule as usual. There's at least one Bards show a day. On Friday, we'll be a part of the Filk Comedy Music Showcase at 11:30PM. Saturday, we have a dedicated show show at 7PM. On Sunday at 7PM, we're doing a brand new Hobbit Drinking Songs show, this time in a real room with proper sound reinforcement.

I also have a Firefly Drinking Songs solo show planned as well as my annual Pub Songs Podcast performance at the end of the con. Andrew has a solo performance as well. Plus, there are panels, a concourse show, and who knows what else will happen.

You can find out complete schedule at http://thebards.net/dragoncon/

Thank you again for supporting my music. I look forward to hearing from you and how I can best share my music with you.
