Marc's Musings

Greetings

I want to thank you for all your awesome support this year past year. Because of your generosity as a Gunn Runner, here are some of my accomplishments in 2014:

  • I successfully funded 3 new albums: How America Saved Irish Music, Sci Fi Drinking Songs and Celtic Christmas Greetings.
  • I started a monthly internet concert series on Concert Window.
  • I won an Celtic Music Radio Award for Best Roots Traditional song.
  • I am one of the top 2 Celtic artists... in the World on Reverbnation. It's me and The Elders who swapped between first and second all year long.
  • Kersti tells me, "I Inspire and change the lives of fans for the better". That was one of my goals I listed for 2014.
  • How America Saved Irish Music hit #1 on Amazon for Traditional Folk, Traditional British & Celtic Folk, and Miscellaneous.
  • I was also able to start an awesome new Fan Club via Patreon.

You were an inspirational part of all of these accomplishments. So thank you for being a part of my musical journey this year. Let's do more great things in 2015... Together!

Oh! You can hear me talk about these accomplishments in The Celtfather podcast.

Nine days ago, I launched a new podcast called "Celtic Christmas Greetings". Through it, I am freely sharing my thoughts about my new Christmas CD as well as my thoughts about Christmas, in general. If you've ever wondered what I think of Christmas, you can hear it through my stories and ramblings on a variety of topics as well as stories as to how these songs came to be.

CHRISTMAS CRAIC FOR THE CELTIC AMERICAN

Christmas has always been an American holiday to me. I never knew anything "Celtic" about Christmas until I started researching it a few years back. I'm learning slowly.

This video that I'm about to share is my first big foray into the Celtic Christmas music world. It features some Celtic Christmas songs by me, some tunes, stories, and jokes by some of my friends from the Louisiana Renaissance Festival. I hope you love the show.
